L.A. County Half Marathon & Expo

International City Racing presents a unique addition to the area on Dec 13, 2009, with the inaugural LA County Half Marathon which encompasses the beauty of the Pomona Valley.
For the first time, the LA County Half Marathon begins and ends at Fairplex, wending its way through Pomona, San Dimas and La Verne, Sunday, Dec. 13. The fun begins Saturday, Dec. 12 with the Marathon Health & Fitness Expo in the Grandstand Pavilion. Expo admission is free to the public!
Be a part of this fun, exciting community event. If you’re not a serious runner, there’s also a 5K walk/run, a Kids’1-Mile Fun Run and a bike tour. Or show your support as a volunteer, encouraging participants and supporting our local communities.
Street closures. Note that neighborhood streets will close to accommodate event participants. The Half Marathon begins and ends at Fairplex so streets will re-open for traffic as the last runners pass. Re-opening times are approximate and may vary by about 30 minutes. Police officers will monitor all major intersections, allowing cars to cross the course when there is a break in the race. Please allow extra time for travel.
These streets will close at 6 a.m. and re-open at the estimated times indicated:
• Puddingstone Drive (between Fairplex Dr. and Raging Waters Dr., eastbound lanes) --re-opens at approximately 9 a.m.
• McKinley Ave. (between Bonelli Regional Park and Fairplex Dr., eastbound lanes) – re-opens at approximately 11 a.m.
• Fairplex Drive (between Fairplex Dr./McKinley Ave. and Puddingstone Dr., northbound lanes) – re-opens at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Sunday, Dec. 13 - Race Day:
6 a.m.-12 p.m. – Health & Fitness Expo

7 a.m. – Bike Tour
8 a.m. – Half Marathon
8 a.m. – Mt. Sac Heritage Hall 5K
9 a.m. – Kids 1-Mile Fun Run
